DIY Shabby Chic Frame Noticeboard

 Hello everyone,
Today we decided to share with you this simple, yet lovely frame noticeboard we created. It is a perfect last minute DIY to spruce up your office, empty wall or give as a gift. It was a last minute decision to share this project with you as we thought it was too simple to post, but we would like to show you what you can achieve with a few things you have on hand. Ours is hanging above our craft desk!

A wood frame - we had painted it white months before, and no need for distressing(having been knocked around not knowing what to do with it!)
We cut a piece of burlap to cover the medium-weight chipboard backing and we also put a piece of thick batting under the burlap  if we wanted to use stick pins. We then cut ribbons and hot glued them in place to the burlap backing diagonally, which it also had been hot glued to the chipboard. Hot glue your burlap backing to the frame and that's it!

Lastly, it was time to decorate. We kept it simple, a few pink flowers, a twine bow and a beautiful lace ribbon in a lovely shade of dark cream! What we like about it are the soft colours. White, soft pink ribbon and flowers and burlap( and of course our bunny clothespins!) But you can do whatever you want, you can decoupage your favourite scrapbook papers around the frame, fussy cut images of flowers and decoupage them on your frame or arrange your flowers on the two opposite sides of the frame, the possibilities are endless. We've seen beautiful, creative work on frames on the web, but as we said we wanted to do something fairly quick, not taking too much time to finish.

                          Hope you liked our project!

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day!
